LAST NIGHT'S STORM, THIS MORNING'S EXCITEMENT

Ma Nature put on a good sound and light show last night, and apparently she also let loose with a brief puff of wind. This shot is crooked, but it shows the length of the tree. Apparently, the wind gust was only 32 mph, at least at a neighbor's a half mile away, but it was enough to snap a gum tree off and dump it in the driveway, the top just barely landing on the order van. More firewood for my neighbor!

I hope you have help to clean up.

It is sad to lose a nice tree.

We occasionally get violent winds storms. Makes me glad I have no large trees around my house. One year a brief violent wind snapped off 5 trees in a row behind my shed., each 8 to 10 inches in diameter. At the time my son an another young fellow were in the shed storing hay away. It must have been a tiny twister.

I had the same thought...thank goodness you weren't hurt. It must have been very frightening.

Well, I got here late, but see that you had a storm. It is probably all cleaned up by now. We have finally had a couple of good rains. Too late for the corn, but the tobacco is looking good. And finally we are getting red ripe tomatoes! yum!

I can remember a few years back when we had a terrible winds and many of our towns oldest trees were blown over, the pictures remind me of it.
