A REMINDER

IN THIS WORLD of so much self-righteous hatred, I feel the need to share Mother Teresa's words...
“People are often unreasonable, irrational, and self-centered. Forgive them anyway.
If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives. Be kind anyway.
If you are successful, you will win some unfaithful friends and some genuine enemies. Succeed anyway.
If you are honest and sincere people may deceive you. Be honest and sincere anyway.
What you spend years creating, others could destroy overnight. Create anyway.
If you find serenity and happiness, some may be jealous. Be happy anyway.
The good you do today, will often be forgotten. Do good anyway.
Give the best you have, and it will never be enough. Give your best anyway.”

Mother Teresa

If you believe in God, then you believe we are all His creation...
Love one another. Leave the judging for a power greater than yourselves.
When you show hate for another human being, you show hate to God.
Understand that we are all different, that is part of The Plan. Deal with it.

Doing the good and right thing should be it's own reward. To do these expecting recognition, praise or honours diminishes the righteousness of the deed. The good is it's own reward.

All good points here, the blog post and Tossing Pebbles previous comments.

Diversity is what makes life so interesting. I agree with Pebbles that good deeds done anonymously are the best (and probably the most blessed). For the most part, I don't care much what people think of my deeds, or even if they know about them, but you know that :-))) And as far as recognition, there is only one source that concerns me and it's not earthly. Hope you have a great day.

I have come to realize that the diversities in life are priceless gifts. It never fails to amaze me. I will never be anywhere near Mother Teresa but I do try to let others have their beliefs and to stay true to mine.
