ST FRANCIS THRU THE SEASONS

A PICTURE JOURNAL of the seasons in one very little corner of my world. Well, OK, not a corner - just a favorite spot, visible from the kitchen window. As I looked out my window very early this morning, just as the sun was coming up, I saw a doe and her fawn drinking from "Fwankie's bird baff" as one of my little neighbors used to call it. But, when I got back with the camera, they were gone, Fwankie was standing alone, for a moment or two, until the birds started visiting. He's really in there, ya just gotta look... so I thought of all the pictures I have taken with St Francis in them - not as the subject, but just there, a calm presence ever reminding me of our relationship with all little critters.
In serious winter... Early Spring, with violets and pansies, and before the garden GREW!
In the fallSpring, and azaleas

Sorry, the pictures are not in the order I want them, but blogger won't let me move them the way I used to... oh well.

Nice to "see" St Francis through the seasons and with "friends."

Beautiful in all seasons, but looks really cold in that winter one!!

I loved your previous post about possums! I learned a whole bunch I never knew about them! I think they are cute as babies, but not so much as adults! When one comes around I'll give him bread. They like it just fine! They love the cat food too. I don't see them much around here. I didn't know they would eat copperheads! Good to know!!!

St Francis is the one statue that almost everyone can identify ... You just feel calm being in the presence of one of those statues and I love that you left him there in the snow.

I love your garden with the flowers and statuary. I tend to only plant things I can eat so I do not have many flowers. I enjoy the wild flowers and plants that are all around me naturally.

This afternoon I stepped out the front door to come face to face with a lovely deer. They are still unusual here as they are reestablishing in this area. One would more likely see a moose normally.
